Meet Ethel! She is a petite and sweet 8 year old female pitbull mix – a “pocket pittie” weighing only 39 pounds. Ethel has been described as being the 3 P’s- patient, polite, and peaceful. She loves long walks followed by long naps, and is a very well-mannered lady (no begging at the dinner table for this dog!). Ethel is friendly with strangers and has done well around children, and will let you know she needs to go out to go potty by whimpering. She has some adorable quirks, such as sleeping on her back with her legs in the air, and preferring to have ice in her water whenever possible. Ethel has some arthritis in her hind end (hips and knees), but it doesn’t seem to slow her down one bit! Keeping Ethel fit and trim will help keep excess weight off her knee and prevent complications from the arthritis. She is on daily anti-inflammatory medication and fish oil. Overall, Ethel is a delightful gal who will make a devoted and low-maintenance pet!

Ethel is available for adoption at Kitsap Humane Society.
