Bailey, an American Eskimo, came into a shelter as a very old lady, at 15 they knew she wouldnt be adoptable and werent able to cover her medical care any longer. Her foster mom was willing to remain as her Final Refuge home as Bailey moved to ODHs care. Now about 18 years old, Baileys heart disease is still moderate, the stiffness in her hips and back has increased but shes still quite mobile on medication, her cough is still being treated, and all the other old lady issues are progressing slowly. We know the time is coming but for now Bailey is a happy girl who is comfortable and loved. Update: Baileys frail old body came to the end of her very long life, still a happy girl but very tired. She left surrounded by her family and is remembered with a smile. Bailey died August 2015.
