Lovely Bella is a black labrador retriever who was found abandoned, left behind by her owners after they moved. She has been taken to a vet to be checked out by a Good Samaritan. The vet told her that Bella is probably between 8-10 years old. She’s a big girl, about 80 pounds.

This very nice girl is good with other dogs and does well with kind children. Bella has not been observed around cats. Currently Bella is living in a home that has stairs and those are not easy for her to manage. She has arthritis and is taking an anti-inflammatory for that. Bella does well on leash and appreciates a couple short walks a day.

At this time Bella can manage a while without needing a potty break but if she has to wait too long, she’s been known to use a potty pad. A potty pad for a big dog, what a good girl! Ideally, in Bella’s new home she won’t have to resort to that. Bella has been fine to stay alone inside the home when necessary. She’s reportedly not a barky girl. We are told Bella has few fatty lumps. She will need a dental in the near future and she has a growth near her eyelid that may need removal as well.

Bella is described as “a very sweet, very mellow black lab who just wants to be loved.” Surely there’s a home out there for dear Bella! She needs and deserves a home with someone who will commit to her for the rest of her days. Bella needs not just a loving home but one with someone who will be sure she has the vet care she needs now and into her future.

Bella is located in Renton, WA., posted for her caregiver. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
