Ben is a wonderful old gentleman who has had a lot of trouble in his life. He is estimated to  be about 10 years old, and is considered blind. He has been in and out of shelters and he is SO ready for his committed, adoptive home!
This boy is loving and goofy and just a joy to be around. While he is blind, he gets around so well that one can actually forget sometimes he cannot see. Ben can have some anxiety being left alone but this is understandable, given all the changes he’s had in addition to not being able to see. Once settled into a home, he seems to be okay if he has a doggy door to go in and out of and he will require a securely fenced yard. Ben is on daily thyroid medication, but it is quite inexpensive.

Ben does well with older, mellow large dogs, he cannot be in a home with small dogs or cats. He would do best in a quiet home without children. He has some arthritis, so stairs are a definite no.

Ben needs a final home to spend his senior years with a companion as faithful as he is. He will reward you with lots of love and kisses and gentle hugs. A sunny spot of grass and some regular short walks, and your love and attention, is all Ben wants for his ‘retirement’ days.

Ben is posted for WAG (Welfare for Animals Guild),
located in Sequim, WA. Please contact Claudia at for more information about Ben.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
