Daisy and Lucy are a senior bonded pair that came to Old Dog Haven in December of 2022 when their owner had passed away after a prolonged illness. When their extended family could not keep them, Old Dog found them the ideal final refuge family where they would be able to stay together and start a new life.
Daisy and Lucy’s final refuge foster mom reports that after they both had settled into their new home, their personalities really started to come out. Daisy, the miniature Dachshund, is the playful one who loves to lay on her foster mom and enjoys belly rubs. She likes to follow her people all around the house and will jump around doing tricks for her treats.
Lucy, the Chihuahua, is the snuggle bug of the house. She loves to be cuddled and if she is not getting enough attention, she will politely tap you on the arm to express her need for some extra love. Both dogs are very sweet and gentle and enjoy sleeping the day away under their favorite blanket together.
After not seeing a veterinarian for quite a while, both ladies will now receive access to the very best medical care through Old Dog Haven. Daisy is possibly battling early kidney disease and some skin issues. Both dogs have tested positive for leptospirosis and will receive dentals if they are stable enough to endure anesthesia.
Daisy and Lucy’s foster family are completely in love with this dynamic duo and will ensure that their days are filled with joy and happiness!
