If you are looking for the love of your life, Carly is waiting for you!

Carly is an 8-year-old girl who came to her rescuers very sick after living in complete filth and neglect for too long. Her entire body of skin was infected, most of her fur was missing, and she was extremely anemic. She even shook and trembled. That has all changed! There is a small patch on her back where her fur never completely grew back, but who cares? Carly still believes she’s the most beautiful girl in the world!

This spunky and joyful girl wins everyone’s hearts! She greets all with enthusiasm and loves to play fetch. She loves to go for car rides, sleep in bed with you, and just hang out anywhere that you are nearby. Carly does not like being in a crate, but she is fine left home alone.

This girl has a serious working nose and would be amazing at some nose work! She has amazed her fosters by opening a few new cans of dog food that were left sitting out on counters while humans were gone.  These were new, store-bought cans of food, unopened. She ripped them open with her teeth—fortunately no serious cuts to Carly!  Needless to say,
Carly is VERY food motivated.

Carly has done great with a small dog in her foster home. At first, she seemed to do well with a large dog, too. However, after she settled in, she did not seem to like the larger dog anymore. That happened again in the second foster home. So, while Carly is not dog aggressive, her behavior towards dogs her size or larger can be an issue. To set her up for success, her rescuers are looking for a home without other dogs. Carly is ready to be your one and only. Nothing would make her happier.

Carly likes to flop herself down on the floor very loudly while rolling over to let you know it’s time to rub her belly. She even thinks a trip to the vet is simply to get more attention and will flop over for them, too, in an attempt to receive more belly rubs. Carly also enjoys going for walks and does well with a harness.

Carly is not a large dog, but is compact and solid, just over 50 pounds. Upon rescue, it was also discovered that Carly had hypothyroidism which has been easily managed with daily medication (inexpensive – around $ 8 – $ 10 per month) and will continue this medication for the rest of her life.

Carly loves people and that includes kids! She’s a doll and everyone loves Carly. This very, very special girl is so deserving of a happily ever after!
