Sweet Casper, an American Eskimo Dog, was left at the shelter at age 13 and came to his ODH home deaf, with some neurological limitations and not the greatest liver function. His sweet nature and loving personality endeared him to us however. He loved his walks and could keep up with the big dogs very well, trotting along with great purpose. He also loved barking at high-pitched sounds that only he could hear (or had made up), sleeping on a big cushy bed with his head on the floor, and being stroked. Casper’s neurological problems worsened very suddenly and it was time to say goodbye to this gentle little soul. He passed away April 30, 2014.
