Cherie was surrendered to a shelter in very bad shape, flea-infested with mud-caked mats all over her greasy coat, and nearly blind from untreated dry eye. Who knows how long she suffered from painful eyes, a sore mouth and constantly itchy skin. Cherie, whom we believe is a Lhasa Apso (or perhaps a Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix) is on the right track now with ongoing eye and skin care and lots of love in her new foster home. Despite her past neglect, her spirit is strong. She’s spunky, outgoing and a delight. Cherie lost her life in an accident, leaving two families who loved her a great deal – and that’s what matters most.
