Cocoa is as sweet as her name. She’s a 14 year old shepherd/mastiff mix. Yep, she’s a big girl who weighs about 90 pounds. Cocoa is a lover; she has been very maternal to the other animals in her family-both dogs and cats alike. She’s a gentle giant who is good with kids of all ages but as you would imagine she has arthritis so she needs to be treated gently-no pulling or sitting upon her. Cocoa is used to having company during the day, both human and canine. We’re told she is fine to stay home alone, needing a potty break every 4-5 hours. A home without stairs is a must as she’s become “weak in the hindquarters” so they are hard for her to manage. She loves to be close to her humans, appreciates getting out for short walks and she’s old enough to know better than to pull on the leash or be a barky dog. What a wonderful dog! Cocoa is ready for retirement home. She’s waiting in Marysville, WA.

Cocoa is not an Old Dog Haven dog, she’s a courtesy post.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
