Sweet Daisy found herself in an overcrowded shelter after her owners lost their home. One of our new foster families offered to take Daisy just two weeks after they volunteered to foster Faye, a neglected golden retriever. Her loving foster mom reports that Daisy instantly made a connection with her new sister, Faye, and the resident cats. This gentle, old girl was very overweight due to hypothyroidism and the vet recommended diet and exercise to help her get down to a healthy weight. She was also prescribed medications to bring down her thyroid levels to a normal range.

Daisy’s new mom is so happy to help another senior dog in need and tells us why she is a perfect fit for their family.

“Just like Faye, Daisy is incredibly sweet and snuggly. She brings me her stuffed “baby” when she wants extra attention. Daisy and Faye both enjoy walks and are so polite on leash! Our Golden Girls have brightened up our lives so much and it’s hard to say who really helped who. We are all very grateful to Old Dog Haven for the opportunity to love these girls and provide them with all the love and comfort they could possibly want.”

You can see the true joy that comes with being surrounded by so much love and care!

Thanks to your generosity, support, and the dedication of our amazing foster families, we can continue to provide for senior dogs like Daisy for the rest of their lives.
