What a beautiful girl Daphne is! She is an 11 year old Anatolian Shepherd in need of an adoptive home. Daphne is a giant breed dog, she weighs 117 pounds. She is a said to be a kind, calm dog, who spends her days lounging inside the house.  Daphne has lived well with both cats and dogs. While she has been fine around visiting children of all ages, a home with older kids would be safest due to her size.

Daphne would appreciate a home with a fenced yard with room to roam that she could go out and enjoy. Her breed was originally bred to guard livestock. While she’s not interested that job, she is an alert girl who will bark while outside at crows and airplanes and she doesn’t like fireworks (but what dog does?!).

Reportedly Daphne can “hold it” quite a while without needing a potty break. She can stay alone without issue while her people are away from home. We are told Daphne can manage some stairs now but as time goes on, that may not be the case. One must take into consideration, she’s not a dog who will be carried up and down many stairs-she’s too big for that!

Daphne loves people; she is described as “the sweetest, most loving dog”. Doesn’t Daphne sounds like a great dog?  If you have room in your home and heart for Daphne, she’s waiting for her adopter in Seattle, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
