Daphne was dropped off at the shelter at age 13 to be euthanized because she was leaking urine. Everyone at ODH sprung into action to get her out of the shelter ASAP and into a foster home. She was immediately taken to the vet and found to have a bladder full of stones. Surgery was scheduled the next day and a whopping 47 stones were pulled from her tiny bladder! She also had not been spayed and had a mouthful of rotten teeth. Daphne, whose nickname is Muffin, at 15 is showing no signs of slowing down. She is a bit of a “diva” and wishes she was an only dog so her Mom and Dad make sure to take her places without the rest of the pack to make her feel special. She loves chasing her stuffed fox and going for walks. She has everyone in the house wrapped around her finger and has sulking down to an art form! She still struggles with bladder stone formation, eye issues and some occasional GI problems, but she is a very happy spoiled girl enjoying her senior years thanks to ODH.
