Desmond

Handsome Desmond is a 75 pound Irish Setter/Flat Coat Retriever mix who is about 9 years old. Desmond currently lives with a cat and does well with him. He has lived with dogs in the past and is appropriately social with new dogs he meets. Desmond is described as “a loving and loyal dog”. He lives with children and has been a wonderful family dog.

Desmond is a very active boy who needs daily exercise. A home with a large fenced yard where he can run and play fetch would be perfect for Desmond. We’re told Desmond will bark and give a loud howl and prance in his excitement when he first goes outside. He is a strong dog who can pull on leash so he needs someone who is able to manage that strength.  Desmond can stay alone for a work day, making it quite a while without needing a potty break.

He is said to be a big friendly pup who sounds like he’d make a fun addition to a home. Desmond is waiting for his adopter in Lake Stevens, WA.
