Meet Elvis and Sonny, a pair of Shih Tzu mixes who are looking for a forever home together. Elvis is the black and white dog. He is almost 9 years old and he weighs 18 pounds. Elvis is quite the character; he’s very spunky! Sonny is blond and 14 years old. He weighs 16 pounds. Sonny is very sweet and a little shy. Sonny relies on Elvis a lot.

Both dogs get along with other dogs and cats. A home with kids age 8 and over would be best for them. They are easy to take care of but do need regular grooming and work to continue overcoming some skin issues because of flea infestation that took place before coming to rescue. But aren’t they cute??! Elvis and Sonny would do best in a home where someone is around often to get them out for regular potty breaks.

This pair have been through so much including a house fire that could have killed them. A lasting effect from that is that Sonny has a slight cough from smoke inhalation. After their last “mom” died suddenly, they were not taken care of very well.  In spite of everything life has brought them, they remain so loving and are amazing dogs.

Sonny and Elvis are hoping for a family who will open their hearts and home to them. They deserve to live their golden years in a loving home. These best friends are posted for ARRF Animal Rescue in Cle Elum, WA. For more information about Elvis and Sonny, please email: arrfanimalrescue@gmail.com. These are not ODH dogs; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
