Ferguson

Handsome Ferguson is a chow/st. bernard mix; a nice size at 75 pounds. Ferguson is guessed to be between 9-10 years old. Yes, he looks like a teddy bear and we’re told for the most part he acts like one too! He has been with his current people for 6 years now. In that time, he’s not lived with other dogs but he has been fine with dogs being dog-sat in his home or done well with other dogs when he’s gone to a dog-sitter’s home. Ferguson has not been observed around cats. Currently Ferguson lives with small children and he is uncomfortable with them. It is believed he’d do better in a home with kids 13 years or older. Ferguson enjoys 20-30 minute walks every day; he does well on leash but one must keep in mind his size and probable strength. At this time Ferguson can still manage stairs. We are told he can stay alone inside for a work day and can go quite a while without needing a potty break. Ferguson is said to be happiest when he’s snuggled close to his people or sprawled out in a sunny spot. He’s described as being “affectionate, low-maintenance, obedient and loyal”. Someone will be very fortunate to welcome this boy into their home!
