12 year old Ginger is a lovely mixed breed girl who weighs about 23 pounds. Ginger is described as being extremely loyal and happy to be with her people. Surely there’s someone out there who will appreciate this dear girl!

Ginger had a best friend, a doggy buddy that she was very bonded to. Sadly that dog passed away and we’re told since then Ginger has not really been interested in other dogs. That’s not to say she cannot live with other dogs but she is afraid of dogs that are bigger than she is. Ginger has lived with cats and reportedly does well with them. She is said to be “indifferent” around children. While that may be the case, a home with gentle kids would be best for Ginger.

Currently Ginger can manage quite a while without needing a potty break. She does get a little anxious when she’s left alone but we’re told she settles down after a bit. Ginger would probably be very happy in a home with a stay-at-home parent or one where she can tag  with her person. She can handle stairs and isn’t a “barky” dog. We think Ginger sounds like a terrific dog, don’t you?

While she doesn’t expect a lot of exercise, Ginger still likes to play! Watching a senior dog play is heartwarming. We are told Ginger does well on leash.

Ginger has spent the majority of her life with one family but recent changes have caused her to have some anxiety (understandably so). She needs a home with stability and with someone who will be patient with her while she adapts to what will hopefully be her forever home. Ginger is located in Kirland, WA., ready for her adoptive home.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
