Are you looking for a “homebuddy”? Would you appreciate a dog who will be happy to hang out at home and not expect outings to dog parks or other places where there are a lot of people and activity? If so, Gracie is your gal! This beautiful 9 year old, mixed breed dog weighs 45 pounds. Gracie is a shy girl looking for a calm environment to thrive in.

Gracie prefers male dogs and she doesn’t appreciate the hyper nature of herding dogs. She has never been observed around cats or children. One would assume a childless household would be her preference. Gracie can be reserved and cautious with strangers but once she gets to know you, she is said to be “an amazing, sweet, loyal companion”.

Gracie does enjoy car rides and short walks. She is accustomed to a no-pull harness to help her behave her best on walks. Gracie can manage stairs fine. She can stay home alone without issue. Of course, she should be given time to settle into her new home before one leaves her for very long. Gracie is crate trained. Reportedly not a big barker, Gracie sounds like a very nice dog with nice manners.

Gracie is hypothyroid which is a common issue in senior dogs. It is easily managed with daily inexpensive medication. As with every adoption, one should be ready and able to afford the lifelong veterinary care of the dog one commits to. We just know Gracie will make a great new forever friend to someone!

Gracie is located in Issaquah, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
