This very handsome boy’s name is Hasso. He is a German Shepherd, estimated to be about 11 years old. Hasso is a big boy, weighing in at 90 pounds. Hasso is in need of an adoptive home as his owner has developed Alzheimer’s disease. He is heartbroken to have to rehome him but it must be done and very soon.

We are told that Hasso is an incredibly sweet, gentle, loving and lovable dog. He loves other dogs and cats too. Hasso is also good with gentle, respectful chidlren. He sounds like a dog who will make a great addition to a home and family.

Hasso loves to take walks twice a day. He will jog some (but not far) and enjoys dribbling a large, hard plastic ball. We are told that Hasso is good on leash but remember he’s a big dog and one should be able to manage his size. At this time he can do stairs but his adopter should keep in mind there may be a time where he can no longer do stairs and a dog his size is not going to be carried up and down them.

While Hasso has been able to stay alone at home for short periods of time, he’d prefer not to. Hasso loves coming along in the car to accompany his person on errands. The thought is that he’d thrive with the company of another friendly animal.

Hasso is posted for his caregiver in Seattle, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
