Honey sounds like such a nice girl! At about 8 years old, Honey is guessed to be a chihuahua- corgi mix who weighs about 23 pounds. As a young senior, Honey enjoys activity but she knows how to chill out with her people and just enjoy companionship too.

A well-rounded dog, Honey has lived with other dogs in the past and done well with them after a proper introduction. Honey has lived with cats too and she has had no problems doing so. Her current person tells us that Honey likes gentle children aged 6 and over. It seems Honey would do well in just about any home, given her ability to adapt. As always, we recommend time allowed for Honey to settle in and learn the ropes in her new home.

Honey has been in her current home only 1.5 years, before that she had an owner who became ill and was unable to keep her. Honey’s current owner must part with her and broken-hearted to do so as she had planned on keeping her for always. We’d love to help find Honey a home where she will stay forever!

If you are hoping to find a cuddly, loving dog, Honey could be your girl! We are told she loves to sit in a lap or near her person and keep them company when they are at home. If you need to leave the house for a bit, Honey will stay home and be ready to greet you happily upon your return. She is accustomed to going out a doggy door to do her business. Honey can manage a few hours between potty breaks. Honey will bark when someone comes to the door or when she sees someone walking by her home. Honey will stop barking when she is told to do so, she has good manners.

Honey would love a home where she gets to continue going on walks. She does very well on leash. Honey is ready to explore, enjoying parks and new places to sniff and see. Honey has great fun running in her yard or chasing a ball. When Honey sees a squirrel, she will chase them. Dogs have a great way of helping us stay active, it’s a win-win!

When adopting a new dog, one should be prepared to provide lifelong veterinary care and quality dog food. Honey has not seen a vet since her last adoption. She is more than likely due for vaccines, her owner has that information for potential adopters.

Honey is a sweetheart deserving of a real and true forever adoptive home!
