Well, hello everyone out there on the internet! I’m Jager, 10 years old and about 55 pounds. I’m just a little bit embarrassed to be bugging you, I’m really not the kind of dog to put myself forward in any way. In fact, I spend most of my time cuddled up on my bed dreaming of the day when my forever family will walk through the shelter door and take me home to spend my senior years as part of the family. I can’t deny that I’ve had a pretty rough life up to now, my buddy and I found ourselves alone and abandoned — and really hungry! Life at the shelter is pretty good, I get my two squares a day plus walks and a little love from staff and volunteers but every dog deserves to have their own home. I lived with a girl dog before but my history with cats is unknown, so I definitely need a slow and careful introduction to any resident pets. Or I’d be happy and content to be the only pet in the home, either way I’m a pretty flexible guy! Give a senior dog a chance, I promise you I will pay you back every day with love and kisses!
