Jasper

Jasper is a handsome, 8 year old boy who is ready to find his forever home. He is your typical energetic labrador mix. Jasper weighs 60 pounds. He is always ready for the next adventure.. Whether it’s walking, jogging, hiking or just going for car rides, this boy is for you. Jasper will be such a great companion and will do best in a home where his people will include him in their daily plans.​ J​asper falls in love quickly with his people. He loves people of all ages and has done well with children he has met along the way. Jasper could knock over small children because of his energy, therefore, his rescuers are asking that any children in the home be over 10 years of age.

Jasper gets lonesome by himself and will bark when left alone at first so apartment life is not for this guy. A house with a fenced yard where he can enjoy the fresh air will be his happy place.​ ​Jasper is a gentleman in the house and will let you know when he wants to go outside.​ ​ He understands basic commands and will listen intently to you while waiting for your next request.

Jasper is fine with dogs but doesn’t want to share his people with other dogs. He is protective and has shown guarding of people when other dogs approach. Because of that, Jasper will be happiest as the only dog in the home. It is unknown if Jasper has had any experience with felines.
