Kev is a wonderful, big, black lab who now is everybody’s dream boy. He came into the shelter in terrible shape, very very thin, neglected skin, and with a very large tumor hanging from his underside as well as other masses. Despite all that, he was cheery and friendly. ODH’s vet removed the huge hanging tumor (taking a great deal of pressure off his chest and skin) and a smaller one on his ankle, but found internal tumors that we didn’t dare try to remove. His ODH family gave him wonderful post-op care and say: “…we are never letting him leave our family! He is an amazing boy who has taught us a lot about love and friendship, and his foster brothers and sisters adore him. We don’t know what his life was like before us but what we do know is that he is going to be loved and treasured every day for the rest of his life….thank you Old Dog haven for bringing this angel to our family…WE LOVE KEV!” And that is our main goal: Giving these old guys a home where they are loved, treasured, and as comfortable as possible.

Update:  Just a little while longer is all we ask…but when they choose to leave we have to let them go. He was, and always will be, one of the greatest loves of our life and one of the best friends that we have ever loved.

Thank you, Kev, for choosing us to share the best part of your life. You will always own a piece of our heart.
Godspeed sweet boy….Heaven has a new angel.
