Lewis came into a shelter as a “stray”, pretty darn stiff and sore, with yeasty skin and a very strange tumor that we will need to remove. All this made him unadoptable through the shelter, so ODH was asked to take him in. He immediately settled into a group of other Labs and found the joys of walking on the beach! Being fat and sore, he tires easily but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy himself. He will take some effort to get back into good shape, and as yet we don’t know how healthy he is inside, but he’s safe and happy and that’s a good start.

Update:  Lewis’s joints finally just couldn’t carry him around anymore, despite the best efforts of his vet and family. He had been a great ambassador for ODH and will be remembered with a smile.
