“Hello all you hoomans out there, I’m Lexi! Some may say I’m a “senior” dog but I prefer to think of myself as mature, or experienced. Whatever the case, I’m definitely in the market for some new hoomans – my last ones just couldn’t take care of me the way I needed so they brought me to the shelter a few weeks ago. Lucky for me they did, since I was in need of some medical treatment to help my eyes feel better and now I am in tip top shape — okay, I’ll admit I am a LITTLE on the healthy side, maybe you can just call me fluffy. It can be a bit of a challenge to maintain my figure when I’m hanging out in my kennel most of the day; the staff and volunteers try to get me out for walks a few times a day but it’s not the same as being in a real home. I admit that I am not really in love with other pets, so I would prefer to be your one and only, but the good news is that I LOVE hoomans of all types and sizes! AND I am crate/house-trained and have a few manners under my belt already, I just need a little bit of refreshing to get me back up to speed. Are you in the market for a low-maintenance relationship? I might just be the right dog for you!

Please stop by the shelter to visit with me today! Lexi is posted for the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County.  My I.D. here at the shelter is A494488.”
