Lilly is a stunning 10 year old, 63 pound pitbull in need of an adoptive home. This active girl is a good walking buddy but she also loves hanging out on the couch when she is invited to join her person.

Up until recently, Lilly had lived her entire life with another dog, a male, who had allowed her to be the “boss”.  Lilly did not do well when she met another female dog. It is now believed she should be either an only dog or perhaps with proper introduction and integration, she could join a family with a submissive male dog.  Lilly does not appreciate other dogs trying to get close to her food-this is understandable and easy to remedy-just keep dogs separate until all are finished with their meals!

Lilly has never lived with cats. She would do well in a home with children who are kind and gentle.

At this time Lilly has the company of another dog when her owner must leave the home. She has done just fine staying inside the house without issue. She can manage quite a few hours between potty breaks and we are told she will not bark unless she hears other dogs barking or when she engages in play with another dog.

A home with someone who will get her out for daily walks would be ideal. She responds to basic commands but if she’s off leash, she can decide not to follow them. For her safety a leash walk is the only way to go. Lilly can manage stairs. To us, Lilly sounds like just the right combination of active and relaxed…Lilly’s adopter should be able and willing to get and keep her thoroughly vetted for the rest of her days.

Lilly is in need of an adoptive home very soon.

Lilly is located in Shoreline, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is a courtesy post. Lilly is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
