Lucky is a 12 year old pomeranian who currently weighs 18 pounds; he’s about 5 pounds overweight. He is described as being “sweet, wooly and cuddly. He gets along great with other dogs. He is submissive, and ignores the other dogs in his foster home that have been pestering (mounting) him. He walks well on a leash and loves to go on errands. He is great in the car and in stores and other places. Lucky is happy and easy going. He is a lap dog and just wants to be with his person. He is in great health. Even the radiologist can’t find anything amiss with him.

Lucky needs a home with a securely fenced yard as he will run. You look at that adorable face and want to trust him but you can’t…he’s like a terrier in that regard…he must be on a leash or in a fenced yard. To be fair, he was let out of an apartment as his former human couldn’t walk him any longer, but still, he must be kept secured. Really, all dogs should have that amount of care given to them.

He is doing well with potty training if he is on a schedule and someone can be with him. He’s had a lot of changes recently but he has lived in a home with a dog door so he knows how to use one. Some healthy dog food and exercise will do wonders for him. Lucky’s story before coming to rescue is very sad. In spite of that, he’s a wonderful, trusting dog. He is adorable and will be your best friend everywhere you go. People are attracted to him not only because he is so cute but there is just this wonderful presence about him. He is quiet and not a barky or yappy pom whatsoever!

Lucky is a collaborative rescue for Rebecca’s Rainbow and Furbaby Rescue. He is in a foster home in Redmond, WA.

This IS NOT an ODH dog; we urge potential adopters to do their own evaluation.
