Lucy is a very pretty, 35 pound mixed breed girl who will turn 13 this October, 2022. Her people tell us she is a tri-color Australian Shepherd and Jack Russell mix. Interesting! This active girl is ready for a home with someone who will appreciate all she has to offer. Lucy is a well behaved girl who travels well. She has lived with other dogs in the past and does fine when meeting new dogs who are friendly. Lucy has not lived with cats. She is a sweet girl who does well with kids that are old enough to know to be gentle and respectful of her.

At this time Lucy is spending a lot of time living outdoors. She needs to go back to living inside her home most of the time, only going outside when she needs to relieve herself or when she chooses to. We are told she has been able to manage quite a while before requiring a potty break. That’s convenient but we remind everyone that as dogs age, they often will need to relieve themselves more often-just like we humans! Lucy can manage stairs. She will bark when a stranger arrives but aside from that we are told she is not much of a barker.

Lucy loves her toys and bones. She will bury her bones just to unbury them and rebury them again! We are told she is great on leash and enjoys as much exercise as you can give her. She runs and jumps over logs. Perhaps she would enjoy agility training or some other organization activity for dogs? The bonus of a dog Lucy’s age and activity level is that she can still chill out like a mature dog can but also still enjoy time to play.

If you are looking for a loyal, fun and loving forever buddy, Lucy is ready for you. She is in need of an adoptive home very soon.

Lucy is located in Burlington, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
