Meet the lovely Lucy! She’s a 10 year old rat terrier/bull terrier mix. Lucy weighs 24 pounds, enjoys walks, loves car rides, and can get up and down from furniture. She is an indoor dog, housetrained, but in her golden years she enjoys more frequent visits outdoors to avoid any accidents. Her favorite activity is hanging out with her people and playing with squeaky toys. Little Lucy knows her basic commands like “sit” and “off” and is gentle when she takes treats. She has been great around children her whole life but, as she’s gotten older, unpredictable fast-moving children have started to frighten her, so Lucy would do best in a home with kids over the age of 10. She would like to meet any dogs before moving in with them. Lucy can be a little bossy and barky with new dogs, but becomes playful after having time to warm up. She does, however, need a home with no kitties, as she just doesn’t understand that they’re not for chasing!

Lucy is posted for the Humane Society of Southwest Washington in Vancouver, Washington.
