Maddie

Maddie was left at the shelter at age 13, WAY overweight but still cheery and quite healthy. She had lots of lumps and bumps, mostly fatty lipomas, and lots of fat stored away from the labrador side of her genetics. From the doberman side of her genetics she’s graceful and playful and assertive as well as beautiful, even at a pretty darn advanced age for such a big dog. We’ll keep watch on what seems to be early kidney disease and some old lady “leaking” and make sure she gets back to her girlish figure – she’ll be much healthier that way even though she’s complaining about the cuisine in her new digs.

Update:

After a wonderful 3 1/2 years dear Maddie’s health finally failed and her loving dad had to let her go.  She was a wonderful companion and will be dearly missed.
