Maggie
Wants a home for the holidays!
Maggie is a delightful young senior who is dreaming of a home for the holidays. Maggie is 8 years old and weighs 12 pounds. She is loving, kind and a terrific companion. Maggie would love a home where she will be included in the family plans and won’t be left alone for long hours. She is ready to go with one click of the leash and she is an ambassador wherever she goes. She might be a young senior but she still has the energy to do fun things.
Maggie has lived with other dogs and would be fine with another doggie friend that is calm and respectful. Maggie’s history with cats is unknown, therefore, any cats in the home should be dog savvy and have a safe place to observe. Because young children can be quick and unpredictable, her rescuers are asking for a home without children under 10 years of age.
Maggie was recently diagnosed with heartworm. With the help of the American Heartworm Society, a team of amazing veterinarians and a rock star foster mom, Maggie is now heartworm negative. She will need to take monthly heartworm preventative medication and have her bloodwork rechecked yearly which will include a heartworm test.
Maggie is posted for Save-A-Mutt. She is being fostered in Snohomish County, WA. If you’d like to learn more about Maggie, please email: elizabeth@save-a-mutt.org or check out their Petfinder link: www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelter_id=WA630
