Magnus was picked up from a shelter on Christmas Eve by a volunteer and brought to his Old Dog Haven Final Refuge home.  He had fur so matted that he couldn’t close his eyes, but he still wagged his tail madly when he was picked up! After a complete shave and a major dental this little guy has blossomed in his ODH forever home.

Although he’s now completely blind, Magnus still waits for the neighborhood children to come by the gate and acts as lead on hikes through the woods. If something isn’t right at home, he simply drops into a stance and barks as if to say, “Alright, everyone let me know where you are!” Magnus will hug people when they hold him, perhaps telling them that, from his experience, everything will turn out OK.

Thanks to your support of ODH, things really have turned out well for this sweet fellow!

Update:  After over 4 1/2 years, this dear boy’s health deteriorated suddenly and we had to say goodbye.  He was a very special fellow and much loved.
