Maiya, a really beautiful American Eskimo Dog, was surrendered to a shelter at age 14. She wasn’t in great shape – she had an ear infection, some arthritis in her hips, with generalized skin infection. She was also quite thin. Given the poor condition and her advanced age, she came to an ODH home with other eskies and made herself right at home. She’s blossomed with them – she gained weight, her skin improved tremendously, and she became part of the little pack of white fluffy dogs.

Now that she’s had a dental with many tooth extractions, she’s a healthy happy little dog who is much loved and truly enjoying her life.

Update:  Maiya was able to stay with us much longer than we’d expected – and she will be truly missed.  A wonderful dog who really thrived in her new home.
