Bonded buddies Mandy and Piper are senior girls in need of a forever home very soon.
12 year old Mandy is a beautiful cocker spaniel who weighs about 16 pounds. Piper is a loving 13 year old miniature pinscher who weighs 13 pounds.

This pair is dog door trained, OK to stay alone (with each other’s company, of course!) while their human is away. They enjoy a fenced yard and love going for walks and visits to safe and secure dog parks. Piper and Mandy have had family members’ dogs to stay over and at first there can be a little excitement over sharing their home. With proper introductions to nice dogs, they should be able to live with another dog or dogs. They have never been observed around cats. The girls are fine with gentle, respectful kids.

We are told that Piper has some occassional incontinence that can occur while she sleeps. Mandy had surgery in 2014 to repair a ruptured disc. Mandy has arthritis and given her history, a home with too many stairs could be hard on her.  As we suggest with all dogs, this pair needs a home with someone who can and will afford their vetting, good quality food and grooming for Mandy for the rest of their days.

These old friends are attached to each other, sleep with each other and sometimes they get annoyed with each other! Piper and Mandy are two sweet girls who would appreicate a home with someone who is home more often than their current owner is. And who wouldn’t want to spend time with these two lovelies!

Mandy and Piper are posted for their owner in Sumner, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
