This is sweet  Mary!  She spent several months in a shelter, both in the kennel and at a satellite adoption center. She was suffering from serious arthritis but kept up her spirits remarkably well. When her skin broke out pretty violently, shelter staff asked if ODH could take her.

She moved into her ODH home with an excellent attitude, very damaged joints, and pretty damaged skin and ears. Our vet got her started on treatment for skin infection and arthritis and Mary settled in with pleasure. She loves her comfy bed, is very serious about an 8 pm bedtime, and enjoys watching her family cook. Her patience with a long shelter stay has been rewarded and we hope for a long comfortable and happy life for this adorable girl.

Mary especially loves to lay in the sun, meet people, sleep in her plush bed, and get hugs and kisses on the forehead.

Update:  Dear Mary had over 4 wonderful years in her Final Refuge home.  After such a long time in the shelter this girl really deserved her long and loved time with her family.  We are so grateful to ODH and all the donors who made it possible for Mary to have the very best last chapter.  Her family misses her greatly and is thankful to have had her in their lives.
