Are you looking for a new friend? How about two new friends?

10 year old Dodger is a cocker mix who weighs about 25 pounds. His best friend Mazie is a 15 pound Shih Tzu who is almost 13 years old. These adorable dogs are looking for a forever home together.

The pair’s person passed away recently. Thankfully his family was able to give them a home but it’s been found that Dodger and Mazie are not fans of small children. Mazie and Dodger currently live with another dog and they do well with him. They are social with new dogs they meet and they’ve lived with a cat who reportedly kept to himself.

The hope is to find a home with someone who is at home more often. Their current caregivers work full time jobs and while the friends have tried to adapt to the dramatic change in their lifestyle, both dogs need to go out to potty every few hours (Mazie more so than Dodger).

Mazie and Dodger both enjoy daily walks and both can do stairs. Mazie is described as a cuddler who is sweet and loves to give kisses. It seems as though Mazie has adjusted to the move easier than her friend Dodger has. Dodger seems to worry more and he may take a little bit of time to warm up to his new people. This more than likely has to do with the fact that Dodger was out on his own the first couple years of his life until he was rescued. We’re told once Dodger realizes he can trust you, he will be a loyal cuddler too.

Giving a home to bonded friends can be very rewarding. Do you have room in your home and heart for Mazie and Dodger? If not, perhaps you know of someone who does? Dodger and Mazie are in Renton, WA. waiting for their adopter.

These are not ODH dogs; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
