Michonne is stunning! She is a German Shepherd, reportedly weighing about 100 pounds. Michonne is a little over 8 years old. She sounds like a truly terrific and loyal girl who needs someone ready to give her a home with love and veterinary care for the rest of her days.

Michonne is in need of a home without young children. She has lived with dogs and cats. Michonne has been good with many dogs but would prefer calm dogs and dogs who won’t bark at her people. She may be best living with a mature, male dog. Her personality is large-like she is!

Michonne is ready to be able to spend time inside a home again, going out only as she pleases to. She is spending all of her time outside now and this is something neither she nor her family are happy about. Previously Michonne has been fine to stay inside her home, getting on the furniture to chill out when her people leave the house. She could manage quite a while before needing a potty break. Michonne sounds like a very smart girl that could probably learn to use a dog door. She can manage stairs right now but a home with a lot of stairs could be a challenge for her in the future. Michonne needs a home with a fenced yard.

At this time Michonne is not getting out for the daily walks she once did. We are told she is good on leash but this is a big dog so one must be able to manage her size and strength while out and about.  She will bark to let you know there’s a coyote, fireworks, hot air balloon or something strange she has seen or heard that she thinks you should be aware of. Michonne is true to her roots, in that she will alert and protect you! She will stop barking when she is told to do so.

Beautiful, loyal, smart and loving PLUS she will join you when you sing songs (by howling). This girl is a gem that should be cherished.

Michonne is located in Enumclaw, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is a courtesy post. Michonne is not an Old Dog Haven dog. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
