What a pretty girl Minnie is! We are told that Minnie is a 17 pound chihuahua mix, about 11 years old. Minnie is described as “a highly intelligent dog who learns quickly”. She appreciates a schedule and is spoken highly of by her dog walker and dog sitter.

Minnie has lived with other dogs and is social with them in a home setting. Minnie has lived with cats and kids, not having a problem with either. Of course, one would only want kids who will be gentle to her in her space.

While she is crate trained and is currently sleeping in her crate at night, her people tell us she would rather sleep on a comfy chair under a blanket at night. The chihuahua in her shows with her champion burrowing skills! Minnie loves to find a spot in the sun or even better, a lap!

Minnie is accustomed to a potty break no longer than every 4 hours. She can do stairs without issue. Minnie loves walks and car rides! If you have a home with a fenced yard, Minnie enjoys the freedom of running in the yard. Currently she spends the day with another senior dog and has no problem being in the house when the humans leave. She only barks when she is left in the car or occasionally at other dogs when she is out for a walk.

Family took Minnie in when her human passed away. She was adored by this woman so Minnie is drawn to other women. Minnie sounds like a girl who will make a very nice companion. She does need an adopter who will afford her lifelong veterinary care and good quality dog food. Minnie has not had a senior check-up with lab work but she is up to date on vaccines. Her breed (mix) could mean a long life ahead of her if she is cared for properly.

Minnie is located in Port Orchard, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
