Handsome Moose is a 39 pound, 11 year old, mini Australian Shepherd. He is said to be good with other dogs. He has lived with cats and done well with them too. Moose is described as a loving and cuddly boy.  Moose does not appreciate young children. He needs either a child-free home or without kids under 12 years old.

Moose is on the chubby side. He would benefit from a gentle exercise and diet plan. He is great on leash so getting him out for short daily walks would be good for him. His people do say he has some arthritis and he is given pain medication when he plays too hard. We’d bet a daily joint supplement could help Moose with this. He has a heart murmur that he currently needs no medication for. His adopter should be ready and able to have him vetted on a regular basis; his heart murmur should be monitored as well.

Moose has grown up with another dog but at this time he is alone and is reportedly depressed. One would hope the company of another friendly dog his age and energy level would make him happy. He has been fine staying alone in his home when his family is away. Of course one must give him time to settle into his new home and routine before leaving him alone for too long. Moose is a good boy who does not bark much. It sounds as though a home without too many stairs would be best for Moose. He can do stairs at this time but his person reports he does not like doing them-this could be due to his arthritis.

This sweet boy is ready to join a new family with a new canine buddy and no interaction with young children.  Moose is located in Gig Harbor, WA. For contact information please email:
