Check out these cuties! Here are Nikita and Pepper. These friends came to the shelter when their owner passed away in September of this year. They are hoping to find a home together but the shelter will adopt them out separately if need be.

Nikita aka Niki is a spayed female Chiweenie. She weighs 11 pounds and she is  12 years old.
Niki is a dear, sweet girl. She loves everyone and that includes other dogs. She gives a cute “chirp” when she wants attention and a lap. Niki loves lap time with a very short walk in between naps.

Pepper is a neutered male Chihuahua. Pepper weighs 10 pounds and he is 10 years old. Pepper is a very nice boy who prefers adults to children. Contrary to his name, he is all white. He is the shyer of the two. He loves lap time and bedtime, and brisk little walks. He will bond with you and be happy to spend all his time with his person. Other very small dogs are okay, but no children.

This pair is said to be very good in the car and they can be left for short times at home. It’d be terrific if they could find an adoptive home together where they will be well taken care of with regular vet care for the rest of their days.

Pepper and Nikita are posted for Vashon Island  Pet Protectors. You can find more information about adopting them at vipp.org. To make an appointment to meet Pepper or Niki (or both!), email: dogs@vipp.org or call (206)389-1085.

These are not ODH dogs; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
