From Oscar’s foster mom:

Oscar was dropped at a shelter by his family at 12 1/2 years old.  I picked him up the day before Thanksgiving and he was in tough shape. I discovered he was deaf and he would try to sleep standing up the first few nights because of a horrible skin infection in his groin area.  After some serious vetting (thanks to Old Dog Haven) …skin meds, neutering, a dental in which all of his teeth were pulled, Big O was feeling pretty darn good!

Oscar has since had both of his eyes removed.  Despite being deaf and blind he gets around the house and daycare remarkably well. He can sniff out anything!

Oscar is a perfect companion who loves to ride in the car or snuggle at home.  He often comes to school with me and attends high school sporting events; he is quite the charmer.

It has been 4 years since he joined my family and I cannot imagine life without him.
