Oscar is a 14 year old cocker spaniel who weighs 27 pounds. He’s described as being very sweet and gentle. Oscar lives with another dog and cat and we’re told he’s good about meeting new dogs. He prefers kind children who are school aged and older.

This good boy is dog door trained but if the dog door is closed and his owner is gone for a long day, she’ll put a belly band on him. Just like humans, older dogs can only “hold it” for so long! Stairs have gotten harder for him to do with age. As one would expect in a 14 year old dog, Oscar has some arthritis and he’s losing his hearing. Oscar was recently diagnosed as being hypothyroid, this is a common condition in older dogs treated inexpensively with medication.

Oscar loves his plastic kiddie pool! He enjoys playing with soft toys. We’re told Oscar appreciates short walks. He likes being outside, meandering around his fenced yard. If you know this breed, you will smile thinking about their cute tail wag wiggle. If you aren’t familiar with it, you’re missing out!
