Pal is a 14 year old Shih Tzu who weighs 22 pounds. Up until recently Pal was living at an assisted living facility. Pal is a friendly guy who enjoyed being a social butterfly at the facility; he was considered the “house dog” during his time there. Unfortunately Pal’s beloved person has passed away. He needs to find a new home. Pal has spent time with other people when his person could not take care of him and he adjusted to new environment as he needed to. Since he was a companion to a senior, retired person, it would be great if he could find another home where his new person is home often. He does become a little stressed when left alone and can bark. Perhaps Pal could take comfort in having another friendly dog to keep him company? Pal has never lived with another dog but is said to be friendly with other dogs who are friendly to him. He has never been observed around cats and the belief is he’d be happiest in an adult only home.

Pal loves short walks and he can manage stairs. He is used to going out to potty about 4 times a day. Pal can be a little “protective” of his toys and treats so he needs to find someone who will understand and manage this behavior. Pal needs to find a new home very soon. He deserves to find a home where he won’t be “left behind” again.

Pal is in Bothell, WA.
