12 year old Penny is an 80 pound Labrador Retriever. Penny is an affectionate dog with the lab “happy tail” that makes her whole body wiggle.

Penny has never lived with another dog. Reportedly small dogs bother Penny; otherwise Penny mostly ignores other dogs. She currently lives with a cat and doesn’t pay much attention to it. Penny has done fine with respectful children.

As one would assume in a dog her age, she does have some arthritis. She loves to go for walks and play fetch but she gets sore afterwards. A supplement for joint pain would perhaps be helpful so that she can remain active. Penny behaves well on leash. She sounds like a really nice, well-behaved dog!

Currently Penny spends her days alone, managing quite a while without a potty break. However, it would be very nice if she didn’t have to “hold it” as long as she does now. Penny’s hearing and vision isn’t what it used to be but that doesn’t stop her from “talking” (not barking!) and smiling at you.

Lovely Penny is waiting in Gig Harbor, WA. for her adoptive home.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
