Penny is a little “Chiweenie” who was in a local shelter and needed some TLC. This dear girl’s skin was in bad shape and she needed to gain weight. The shelter staff worked hard to get Penny as healthy as possible before she moved into her Old Dog Haven Final Refuge home.

Penny requires eye drops twice a day for her chronic dry eye. This requires drops two times per day but this sweet little darling never complains and looks forward to the treats she receives afterwards. Her skin condition is also being looked after and monitored. With good care, good food, and lots of love we think she’ll be feeling and looking much better very soon.

Her ODH family tells us that once Penny arrived in her new home, she settled in quickly as soon as she realized there were other dogs to play and run around the house with: “For some reason all three house and barn cats choose to greet her by rubbing their faces on her and she does it right back so ever so gently. Penny is quite the character who loves to bury herself deep under covers and we all just love her! We feel so lucky to have such a quirky, silly and lovable little girl in our lives thanks to Old Dog Haven and our generous donors.”
