10 year old Popeye is a stunning buff-parti Cocker Spaniel. He is a bigger boy at 45 pounds. As is often common in this breed, Popeye has been prone to ear infections. He needs an adopter that will monitor his ears to keep them clean and comfortable. It seems that Popeye is hard of hearing as well.  Popeye has never lived with other dogs but he has been good around small dogs he meets. He is not a fan of big dogs (he will bark at them) until he gets to know them. In his youth Popeye used to chase cats. Now that he’s “mature” he only acts like he wants to. We are told that Popeye can be left alone for a work day and not need a potty break for up to 8 hours. He does know how to use a pee pad, a good skill for a dog to know if they gotta go and no one is home to let them out! Popeye is very good on leash and he enjoys his walks.

He is a friendly, happy dog who is good with gentle kids of all ages. This very handsome boy has lived his life until now as a companion dog until his person passed away.

Popeye is in Greenbank, WA. waiting for his new best friend to give him a home.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
