10 years old Randy is 79 pounds and in excellent health. He’s house trained, enjoys his ‘down time’ and his walks too… but still is a bit of a puller. Randy seems to prefer women, though will warm up to a male once he gets to know them.
Randy is wonderful in the family setting and is good around older kids, but unknown around young children. He may do ok around other dogs, but any interaction should be carefully supervised, as he can be “aggressively” friendly around them.
Randy is smart and perceptive. He knows commands in German and English and seems to know what’s happening before it does. Can’t keep secrets from this guy! Even spelling “W-A-L-K” won’t fool him. Randy loves his walks!
He is unknown around cats, but given the typical malamute prey drive, it is safer to assume he is not OK being around them. Randy can be reactive around food —especially when there are dairy containers involved. Randy will only be adopted to a home with secure fencing.
Due to his strength and occasional food reactivity, Randy would probably do best with a very experienced handler. This ‘older’ gentleman is looking for his furever home, a place he can spend his mellow twilight years.
