Roxy the rottweiler came into a shelter as a “stray” with a microchip saying she was 12 years old – ancient for this breed. She was thin, unspayed, had mammary masses, and nasty hip arthritis; the shelter vet suspected early kidney failure. Obviously not an adoptable dog, she limped her way into an ODH home and settled into a comfortable bed. We spayed her, found the masses were benign, and tried to ease the pain in her hips and spine.

After only 5 months she couldn’t stand without help and it was time to let her go to a peaceful rest. Roxy was a “big bundle of love”, full of affection and so happy to be home and loved. She will be remembered.
