Ruby

Ruby is a 9-year-old, 13-pound energetic Chihuahua. This girl is an absolute gem, hence her name! She is so happy, round, and cute you will want to squeal “RUBY, RUBY, RUBY!” each time you lay eyes on her little body just bottled up excitement about seeing you. Ruby is a stout Chi who has no physical limitations, is completely potty-trained and prefers a clean and tidy environment. She has been around other small dogs at the shelter showing no issues with them at all, and runs around happily with a playgroup of small dogs. We think Ruby’s happy and bubbly nature helped the other dogs warm up to people so she might be a good match for a nervous dog too since she is also very respectful of space. She should be fine with cats too. Although Ruby is a quiet dog, she is alert and may bark at new things occasionally. Ruby would likely do best in a home with no small kids, and where she can be doted on like the little princess she is. If you come see her in person at the shelter you will likely have to ask for her by name since she likes to spend her days snuggled up in her bed on the manager’s desk!
