Sage is a 10 year old chihuahua mix who is as gentle as she is pretty. She is quiet and seems a little shy at first but that’s because she has impeccable manners and she doesn’t want to come on too strong. She lived adults only in her previous home and she lived with cats. She really enjoys their company but she hasn’t lived with dogs so she will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs of potential adopters. Shelter staff are confident that she will be just as kind with dogs as she is with everyone else.

In the past she was left alone for long periods in her back yard and she started digging under the fence. When left in the yard she will dig under the fence out of boredom (like a lot of dogs!). The hope for Sage is that she will have a family who will not leave her unattended for lengthy periods of time and that she’ll be made a loving, cherished member of their family.

Sage is posted for the Everett Animal Shelter, 333 Smith Island Rd, Everett WA, 425-257-6000. She is available to meet 11-5 daily except holidays.

THIS IS NOT AN ODH DOG; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation
