Sweet SASHKA is as chill as they come.  She is a sweet, sweet senior girl, estimated to be between 8-10 years old who loves her humans and their attention and company.  She is a Malamute (mix?) but on the smaller side, weighing in at 65 pounds.  She was surrendered to WAMAL by her former owner who could no longer take care of her needs.  She has had a complete physical and is in great shape. She has a bit of arthritis in her hind end but is responding really well with supplements and meds.  Sashka wants nothing more than to chill out and be part of your family.  She loves attention, pets and tummy rubs!  Would you open your heart and home for this special girl to live out her senior years?

Sashka is not the “in-your-face” kind of Mal and is quite content to be near her humans.  She walks easily on a leash and enjoys her walks, often prancing for short durations.  She is comfortable around kids, but cats are a no-no, along with other small furry creatures.  Her WAMAL foster mom has taken her to work and Sashka has become the office mascot and has made herself quite at home there!

Sashka strongly prefers being the only dog in the home and does not appreciate any dogs who get into her space.  She will need a securely fenced yard but is not a jumper or digger so a 4-foot fence will do for this girl.  Sashka is a cross post for WAMAL (Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League) and is currently being fostered on the Sammamish Plateau, WA.

If you can help provide a furever home for this sweet senior girl, please visit the WAMAL website at www.WAMAL.com and fill out an adoption application.  You are also welcome to email wamal@wamal.com with any questions.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
